The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engine fighter, known in the West under the reporting name Fulcrum. It is one of the most widespread machines of its generation and still serves in many countries today. It is the pair of nozzles at the tail that is among its most recognizable features, because they sit far apart with free space left between them.
The nozzles show on a model of the aircraft both from below and from behind, and the viewer looks straight into them. An injection-molded kit tends to be helpless here: the wall comes out thick, the interior shallow, and the seam from gluing the halves runs right across the rim. The replacement parts offer a thin rim, a deeper interior and segment definition on the shell, so the tail of the model stops looking solid and blunt. The scope of the particular set is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic does not hold on them; use super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little short of the part and sand off the rest flat, so that the part sits square in the opening at the tail. Wash in lukewarm water with detergent and degrease before painting. The nozzles are painted as metal under heat stress, that is in shades of scaled metal with temper colors toward the end; the interior tends to be lighter than the shell. Dry-fit them before you paint the fuselage and take away as much of the plastic they replace as needed.
