Universal resin wheels with weighted tires for the Mil Mi-6 helicopter in 1:72 scale from Armory replace the plastic landing gear parts of this heavy machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set for replacing the landing gear wheels when building a model of the Mi-6 helicopter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit. On a heavy helicopter the landing gear carries a great weight, so the deformation of the tire is clearly visible on the real machine, and a casting with a compressed contact face gives the model the settled look that a perfectly round plastic wheel never has.
The Mil Mi-6, NATO code name Hook, was a Soviet heavy transport helicopter introduced at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, and in its day it was among the largest machines of its kind. Besides the main rotor it had auxiliary lifting surfaces on the fuselage, which unloaded the rotor in flight. It was used to carry cargo and equipment and served in both civilian and military operation.
The set is listed as universal, that is, related to the real subject rather than to one box, so always try the parts dry and adjust the diameter of the pin if necessary. Wash the castings free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and level the faces. Turn the compressed part of the tire square to the ground. On large models it pays to weather the wheel lightly after painting with dust pigment from the lower part upward, because helicopters threw up dust over the whole height of the landing gear as they touched down.
An accessory for building a model, not a finished or kit-form aircraft. Buy the paints, glue and the base model separately.
