An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Miles M.2H Hawk Major sports and touring aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov (KP). It is a simple kit with a small number of parts; the package contains clear glazing, decals and a printed acetate sheet with alternative cockpit windshields. The International boxing offers finishes for machines from various countries.
The Miles Hawk Major was a British all-wood low-wing monoplane of the mid-1930s, popular with sports and touring pilots and in air races. The elegant machine with fixed landing gear and an inline engine was built in several dozen examples and flew in many countries.
The simple kit suits less experienced modelers too, but dry-fitting the parts still pays off. Use a liquid modeling cement on the plastic. For the smooth glossy surfaces typical of sports aircraft an airbrush, a base color and a good varnish all work well. Fit the glazing and the windshield only after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
