Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from MH models for models of the British Miles M.38 Messenger light aircraft in 1:72 scale. The masks are stuck onto the clear part, which is sprayed over with the color of the frames, and the masks are taken off. On a type with a glazed cabin and several side windows that gives even frames, which are hard to achieve with a brush in a small scale. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit.
The Miles M.38 Messenger was a British light single-engine low-wing monoplane of the 1940s, designed for a very short take-off and landing. Its identifying marks are the tail with three vertical fins, the fixed landing gear and the large flaps. The machines served as liaison and courier aircraft and after the war a larger number of them reached civil operation, where private flyers took to them. The cabin offered room for a pilot and several passengers.
Lift the pieces out of the sheet one at a time with the tip of a scalpel. Offer each one up to the glazing and press it into the engraved edges of the frame all round; on the small side windows you need to work with fine-tipped tweezers. Cover the inside of the cabin with a piece of damp paper tissue and the surrounding areas of the fuselage with masking tape. Spray the shade of the interior of the frames first and the external finish once that is dry, always in several thin coats. Take the masks off with tweezers soon after the paint has dried and at a slight angle. The transition between the frame and the glass is evened out by a thin layer of clear varnish applied at the end.
This is not a model of the aircraft and not a kit. Paints, varnish and the base model are not included in the package.
