A resin kit of the MQ-8C Fire Scout unmanned helicopter in 1:72 scale from Brengun. The set is intended for experienced modelers, combines cast resin parts with photo-etched elements and is completed with decals. The subject is based on the airframe of the light Bell 407 helicopter.
The MQ-8C is an unmanned helicopter developed for the US Navy. Unlike the smaller previous version it uses the larger, higher-capacity airframe of the civil Bell 407, which brought longer range and a higher payload. It serves for reconnaissance, surveillance and support of units, with the ability to take off from and land on the decks of ships.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your breathing while sanding. Apply a primer before painting and spray the paint with an airbrush; glue the fine photo-etched parts such as antennas and frames on at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
