This detail set replaces the exhaust nozzles from the box with faithful parts in 1:72 scale. It is a resin, 3D-printed aftermarket set from Reskit for experienced modelers. 3D printing makes it possible to reproduce the petals and the internal ribbing of the nozzles with a fidelity that injection-molded plastic usually cannot reach, so the tail of the model gains markedly in credibility.
The F-5E is a single-seat lightweight supersonic fighter powered by a pair of small jet engines. It is marked by a slim fuselage, short wings and a pair of small exhaust nozzles at the rear; thanks to its easy maintenance and low cost it served with a number of air forces all over the world.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and the print supports and clean them up. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Spray the nozzles in metallic shades and build the heat tints up with glazes; bring the inside out with shading and pigments.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
