A set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale for a model of the OV-10A Bronco observation and light attack aircraft. An accessory for a kit, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The OV-10 Bronco is an American twin-engined aircraft with twin tail booms and an extensively glazed cockpit. It was created for reconnaissance, for directing air support and for strikes against ground targets from low altitude, and it could work from short, only roughly prepared strips. The OV-10A was the first production version. Because of the large area of glazing, the cockpit is unusually visible on a finished model, so work on the interior pays off more than on an ordinary fighter.
The set brings photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale for an OV-10A model. Photo-etch allows a thickness a plastic molding cannot reach, and it is used to replace whatever on the real machine takes the form of thin sheet, a grille, a strap or a small control. Which parts of the machine the set covers, which kit it is tuned to and what has to be cut away from the plastic beforehand are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are held on the metal sheet by thin tabs. Cut them off with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with side cutters, which twist thin metal, and level off the remainder of the tab with a file or fine abrasive paper. Make the bends along the etched score lines, best in a bender or between two metal rules. The metal is glued with cyanoacrylate; cement for polystyrene has no effect on it. Before painting, degrease the parts and cover them with a primer coat, or the paint will not hold on smooth metal.
The kit, the paints, the glue and any tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
