Eduard SPACE 1:72 P-36A is a set of colored 3D decals for the interior, together with pre-colored steel photo-etched parts, for faithful detailing of the cockpit of Curtiss P-36A models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE line from the Czech maker Eduard combines colored 3D decals, lifted from moistened backing paper without dipping the sheet, with pre-printed colored photo-etched parts in steel. In 1:72 scale you can thus detail the cockpit easily and faithfully, including a raised instrument panel and the harness. It is not a model of an aircraft but an upgrade accessory for P-36A models.
The Curtiss P-36A Hawk (also known as the Hawk 75) was an American all-metal monoplane fighter of the late 1930s and the predecessor of the famous P-40. It served with a number of air forces and its early cockpit is a rewarding subject for detailed work.
Clean and degrease the surfaces of the cockpit. Moisten the backing paper under the 3D decal with a sponge and a drop of dish soap, and do not dip the sheet in water; lift the released part with tweezers and set it into a drop of white PVA glue, and the flexible carrier will follow the shape. The steel harness straps are more pliable than ordinary photo-etch and can be shaped into a realistic sag; they are glued with cyanoacrylate. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution on the 3D decals, as they would attack the printed resin.
The package contains 3D decals and photo-etched parts only. The model itself, paints and glue are not part of it.
