This is a resin detail accessory from Aires, not an airplane model. The set contains faithfully cast wheels for the later P-40M and P-40N versions with a realistic tire tread pattern and hub detail, complemented by masking film for clean, easy painting of the tires and the wheel hubs.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The later P-40M and P-40N versions brought modifications to the powerplant and the equipment and were among the most widespread production batches. The aircraft was deployed with a number of Allied units on many fronts.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks, wash them to remove the mold release agent and bond them with super glue. Stick the enclosed masks onto the tire or the hub, spray over them with an airbrush and peel them off carefully once dry for a crisp transition between the colors.
The set is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
