Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Curtiss P-40N Warhawk fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly range with a low parts count and large one-piece sections of the airframe. The box contains decals for markings; the exact contents may differ between boxings.
The P-40N was the last and most numerously built production version of the Warhawk. It appeared in 1943 and 1944 with the aim of lightening the airframe and improving performance; compared with the earlier variants it had, among other things, a revised (lengthened) rear fuselage and simplified equipment. This version too used the liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 V12 engine and fought mainly in the Pacific, where it proved itself at low and medium altitudes. Thanks to the large number built it is met in a wide range of Allied and volunteer color schemes.
Glue the large airframe parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. Paint the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Apply the typical Allied schemes (olive upper surface, light underside) with an airbrush over a primer, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add light wear matching tropical service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
