A 1:72 photo-etched detail set for the P-51 Mustang Ia model is an accessory to a plastic kit you have already bought, not a model of its own. The metal parts replace the plastic ones where plastic is too thick for fine detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit or a finished model. It is an accessory set in etched metal sheet from the Czech maker Brengun, intended for building the plastic kit of the P-51 Mustang Ia aircraft in 1:72 scale named in the product title. The parts are taken off the fret and fitted to the plastic base during the build, not on a finished model.
The Mustang Mk.Ia was an early version of the P-51 fighter delivered to the Royal Air Force. It differed from later Mustangs in its Allison engine and above all in its armament: instead of machine guns it carried four 20 mm cannons in the wing. The early version also has a differently shaped cockpit and radiator, so accessories for it are not interchangeable with parts for the later Merlin-engined variants.
Keep the fret together as long as you can and separate the individual parts from it only just before fitting them: small parts disappear at once, so work over a light surface with a rim. Cut with a scalpel pressed down vertically, not with a twist. Make the bends along the marked score line; longer parts are bent more accurately between two razor blades than with tweezers. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it. Dispense super glue as a drop on a piece of film and pick it up with the tip of a pin, as from the tube it always comes out too much. Wipe glue residue off with a brush dipped in water before it dries.
This is an accessory set, not a model. The kit, glue, paints and a primer are not included in the package.
