A detailed 3D-printed accessory from Eduard – replacement landing gear legs (undercarriage legs) for the American P-51D Mustang fighter. It is not an aircraft model, but replacement parts that take the place of the plastic landing gear legs in a P-51D kit in 1:72 scale. Direct 3D printing in resin gives fine detail and a truer shape; the parts also tend to be stronger and to hold their shape better than thin plastic.
First wash any remains of uncured print resin off the parts. Cut the thin print supports away carefully with a sharp modeling blade (not with nippers). Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding. Before gluing them in, check how they seat in the landing gear bays. The metal surfaces of the legs come out well after a coat of primer and a fine wash.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
