Decals 1:72 for the Panther Ausf G from Star Decals bring markings for the fighting in the Baltic in the years 1944 and 1945.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of markings in 1:72 scale from Star Decals, the first part of a pair devoted to the Baltic offensive. According to the name it is tied to the Panther tank in the Ausf G version and to the units Fsch.Pz.Reg. HG and 5. Pz.Div. in the years 1944 and 1945. It is an addition to a finished model.
The Panther was a German medium tank with a long 75mm gun, steeply sloped frontal armor and interleaved running gear in a checkerboard layout. The Ausf G version is the last major series revision: it has a simplified hull side without the driver's vision port and was built from 1944 right to the end of the war. It is in precisely this period that the fighting in the Baltic falls, to which the sheet is devoted.
Late German tanks often carried only sparing markings, so every detail stands out on a model. Apply the decals onto well cured varnish, let them dry overnight and only then add knocks and scuffs. Anyone who wants to push the look further can gently rub the edges of the markings with a damp brush, so that they look worn. On vehicles from the end of the war the camouflage tends to be sprayed hastily and unevenly, so even the base under an insignia may well be rougher.
