This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian maker UM captures the German Pz.Kpfw. III medium tank in the Ausf.J version. The set contains plastic parts, decals, a photo-etched fret and instructions. It is a small scale with a fairly large part count, which offers a decent level of detail.
The Panzer III was the standard German medium tank of the early Second World War, used above all between 1940 and 1943. The Ausf.J version brought thicker frontal armor and was armed with a 5 cm gun. The tank served on most fronts, from North Africa to the Eastern Front.
Prepare the assembly of the running gear and the small parts in advance, because in a small scale the pieces are fragile. Use a thin cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. An airbrush suits the painting, with a base shade according to the period chosen and then washes and pigments to bring out dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
