A set of painting masks, Fi 156 Storch masks, in 1:32 from Eduard. It is a modeling accessory for masking the cockpit glazing and the wheels, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely cut painting masks from Eduard in 1:32, meant for the Fi 156 Storch type. The masks are in thin kabuki paper with a low-tack adhesive; they follow the shape of the canopy framing and of the other glazed areas and, in aircraft sets, usually the wheel rims as well. It is not a kit or a set of model parts but an accessory obtained separately to go with a base model.
The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was a German liaison and observation aircraft of the Second World War, famous for its exceptionally short takeoff and landing. Thanks to its flaps and leading-edge slats it could land in a very small space. It was used for liaison, reconnaissance and casualty evacuation. The extensive cockpit glazing makes masking particularly laborious.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing, lay it on a clean area of glazing and press it down. Fill the straight gaps between the frames with an offcut of masking tape or with liquid mask. Then spray the frame color, let it dry and take the masks off while the paint is fresh, so that the edges stay sharp. The masks speed up masking a great deal and give clean, accurate frame lines without laborious measuring of tape.
The masks are a modeling accessory, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
