An accessory set for a model of the Piasecki H-21C Shawnee transport helicopter in 1:72 scale. The extent of the parts and their placement are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Piasecki H-21 is an American transport helicopter with two main rotors placed one behind the other, that is with a tandem layout. Its fuselage has a markedly curved back so that the rear rotor clears the plane of the front one, and it is exactly this that earned it the nickname flying banana. The name Shawnee belongs to the machine's service with the United States Army, where it carried troops and cargo and proved itself even in conditions that ground vehicles could not reach.
This is an accessory for a model of this helicopter in 1:72 scale. Which parts of the machine the set replaces or completes, how many parts it contains and which kit it is shaped for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before the build. The parts are not made of polystyrene, so ordinary cement for polystyrene has no effect on them and the joints are made with cyanoacrylate glue.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder so that you do not touch the shape of the part itself. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry, so that the paint holds. A thin coat of surfacer works well, as it shows at once where the surface still needs cleaning up. Prepare the small parts over a tray so that they do not get lost.
The helicopter kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
