A pilot's seat with harness for the PZL P.24 in 1:72 scale from IBG models is a 3D-printed cockpit accessory for the A, B, C and G versions. It replaces the injection-molded part with a more finely rendered piece including the relief of the straps.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed pilot's seat with harness straps, prepared for models of the Polish PZL P.24 fighter in the A, B, C and G versions. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for the cockpit. The straps are printed together with the shell of the seat, so there is no need to build the harness up from several pieces and shape it laboriously.
In small scales the cockpit is often the only place a viewer looks inside, and the seat is the most noticeable element in it. The printed part has thinner edges to the shell and a readable relief on the buckles, so after a base coat and gentle accenting with a dry brush the cockpit has depth even under the glazing.
The PZL P.24 was an export fighter derived from the P.11 type - an all-metal high-wing monoplane with a cranked wing and a Gnome-Rhône radial engine. It was exported to Turkey, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria and in a number of those countries also saw combat. The individual forms differed from one another mainly in engine and armament.
Separate the part from the print supports, clean up the mating surface and seat it with cyanoacrylate glue before you close the fuselage. It proves best to paint the shell and the straps in different shades, to bring out the buckles with a metallic color and to even the whole up with a dark wash.
