The set captures pilots in modern flying gear. The JHMCS helmet is a cueing helmet that projects flight and targeting data straight onto the visor, so the pilot does not have to look down at the instrument panel and keeps his head turned toward the target. It is complemented by the oxygen mask designated MBU-14, clipped to the helmet at the sides. Crews equipped like this belong to the machines of today's generation, so the figures suit models of contemporary jet aircraft.

A seated figure is visible on a finished model through the glazing of the cockpit and gives a scene a sense of scale; a standing pilot beside the aircraft does the same on the surface of a diorama or on a display base.
Wash and degrease the figures before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little off the part and sand the remainder carefully. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; the particular procedure for preparing them is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Work from the base layer toward the details: the flight suit, then the harness and the gloves, and finally the visor of the helmet, to which a thin coat of gloss gives the impression of glass. A darker tone in the folds and a lighter one on the raised places give a small figure depth. With a cockpit, try the figure dry before you glue the glazing in.
The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
