A sheet of markings for an F-16 model in 1:72 scale, relating to the participation of a Polish aircraft in the NATO Tiger Meet of 2018. It is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit, and counts among decals for aircraft models.
The F-16 has a very rounded fuselage, blended wing roots and a prominent fin. It is exactly in these places that the carrier film gives the most trouble. The proven method: seat the decal dry in the place it belongs first, and only then dampen it; the film then does not try to slip sideways.
Softeners are not universal
Weaker products merely soften the film; stronger ones literally dissolve it into the surface. Before working on a finished model, test the effect on an offcut of the sheet or on a spare decal. Apply a strong product once, do not rub it in with a brush and let it dry undisturbed, even if the decal looks wrinkled meanwhile.
Let the camouflage mature for at least a day, overcoat it with gloss varnish and degrease the area with clean water. Once they are on, let the decals dry overnight, then knock the whole model back to matte according to the look you want.
The set holds decals only; the model and the paints are not included in the package.
