LACI 1:200 GE90-115 for the Boeing 777-300 is a resin set of engine nacelles that replaces the plastic engines of a kit of the Boeing 777 airliner in 1:200 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory, not a kit of an airplane. The set replaces the engine nacelles of a plastic Boeing 777 kit in 1:200 scale with castings that correspond to the largest version of the General Electric GE90 powerplant. On the Boeing 777 airliner the engine is the most conspicuous identifying mark of the machine, and swapping the version for the wrong one shows on a model at first glance.
In size the GE90 is among the largest jet engines used on airliners, and its nacelle is markedly bulkier than that of an ordinary turbofan. That is exactly why the precise shape of the intake, the outline of the pylon and the depth of the intake pay off on a model. A resin casting holds sharper edges and a thinner intake wall than injection-molded plastic, and that tells most in the small 1:200 scale.
Wash the parts in warm water with detergent to get rid of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface on sandpaper laid on glass - only then will the nacelle sit square on the pylon. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The intake of the engine calls for a smooth base, so apply primer, go over it with very fine paper and only then spray. On airliners the inside of the nacelle and the spinner are treated in different shades from the skin, so check the references for the particular aircraft.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
