Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. a 1:72 from IBG Models is a plastic kit of the early version of the German light tank, and a printed booklet about the vehicle comes with the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the World at War line depicts the early version of the German Panzerkampfwagen II light tank, the pre-production Ausf. a batch. It is a modern tooling with an easy build and fine detail. A printed booklet with the history of the vehicle and color profiles comes with the kit. The model will please collectors of German armor as well as modelers starting out in the small scale.
The Panzerkampfwagen II was a light tank armed with a quick-firing 20 mm cannon, which formed the backbone of the German armored force at the start of the Second World War until heavier tanks replaced it in the leading role. The pre-production Ausf. a batch was among the first vehicles of this type from the end of the 1930s and still had different running gear and small design peculiarities compared with the later production versions.
Assemble and paint the running gear and tracks before finishing the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement and separate the small parts carefully. Apply a primer; a uniform German gray is typical of the early versions, and an airbrush makes an even coat easier in the small scale. Bring out wear and panel lines with a wash and dust and mud on the running gear with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
