An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer III medium tank in the Ausf. E version in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer First to Fight. The model comes from a collector series devoted to the 1939 campaign and is designed as a simple, quick build with a low part count. Check the exact markings and contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Panzer III was a German medium tank designed as the main combat vehicle of the armored divisions, intended to fight enemy tanks. The Ausf. E version of the late 1930s introduced a new suspension with torsion bars and six road wheels per side. Early versions carried a 3.7 cm gun and several machine guns. Together with the Panzer IV, the Panzer III formed the backbone of the German tank force in the first years of the war, including the campaigns of 1939 and 1940.
It is a simple kit with few parts, but glue the joints with liquid polystyrene cement and clean them up all the same. Finish the running gear first, then close up the hull. Early German tanks wore dark gray; after the base coat and a gloss coat under the decals, pick out the panel lines with a wash and suggest dust with fine pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
