Snap-fit plastic kit of the Zvezda R-12 in 1:72 scale: a German heavy motorcycle with a sidecar and two figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German R-12 heavy motorcycle (BMW R12) with a sidecar in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The set is laid out as a snap-fit build (the parts join without glue) and besides the motorcycle it contains two unarmed figures and a base. The parts can still be glued for a firmer joint and the model can be painted.
The BMW R12 was a twin-cylinder motorcycle of 745 cc built in the 1930s and used on a large scale by the Wehrmacht. It reached a speed of around 100 km/h and, together with a sidecar, it carried a crew as well as light weapons. By the start of the campaign in the east BMW had delivered tens of thousands of machines to the army; the motorcycle became the typical mount of reconnaissance, courier and signals units and appeared on practically every front.
Cut the small parts off carefully and clean them up. Even on a snap-fit set we recommend securing the joints with a drop of glue. Paint the frame and the engine before the final assembly and imitate the chrome parts with silver or polished metal. Tie the whole together with a thin wash, finish the figures in uniform shades and shade them with drybrushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
