An injection-molded plastic kit of the massive Soviet Raduga Kh-22 long-range anti-ship guided missile (NATO code AS-4 Kitchen) in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run kit; the package holds plastic parts and a decal sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Kh-22 was a heavy supersonic anti-ship missile developed for fighting large surface formations, especially aircraft carriers and their groups. It was carried under long-range bombers and, thanks to its high speed and range, was among the most feared weapons of its kind. Depending on the version it could carry a conventional or a special warhead.
The long body of the missile calls for careful fitting of the fuselage halves; once glued with a thin cement, fill the joints and sand them down, so that they disappear on the smooth surface. Use a primer and an airbrush before painting for an even shade. Apply the decals over a gloss base and seal them with a matte or semi-gloss varnish according to the subject.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
