A rocket launcher on the Panzer IV chassis in 1:72 is a plastic kit of a late German vehicle from the UM brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures a late German vehicle built on the chassis of the Panzer IV medium tank. In 1:72 scale a whole group of vehicles fits into a small space, and rocket armament is one of the less usual subjects around.
The Panzer IV was the most numerous German medium tank and its chassis served as a universal carrier. Assault guns, tank destroyers and anti-aircraft vehicles grew out of it, because series production was running at full tilt and spare parts were available at the units. A carrier for rocket armament fits logically into this family. The exact shape of the weapon and the extent of its service are given differently in the literature, however, so approach the model as a reconstruction of a development subject rather than as a production machine.
The small scale forgives less than it seems. A sharp scalpel and a fine file on the mold parting lines decide the result more than elaborate accessories, because mold marks show clearly once the paint is on. Assemble and paint the running gear before you close up the hull. Lay the base shade on with an airbrush in thin coats, bring out the edges with a dry brush, and a closing wash with pigments will give depth even to a model this small.
The item is sold as an unassembled kit with no paint applied. Paints, glue and tools are obtained separately.
