Reichenberg Re III (Fi 103) in 1:72 scale from MAC Distribution — a short-run injection-molded kit of the piloted two-seat training version of the weapon derived from the Fi 103.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the piloted version of the German Fieseler Fi 103 weapon (Reichenberg) in 1:72 scale from the MAC Distribution range. It is a short-run injection-molded model, usually supplemented with a photo-etched fret and a vacuum-formed canopy. The small and delicate set is intended rather for more experienced builders.
The Reichenberg program arose toward the end of the Second World War by converting the Fi 103 cruise missile, known as the V-1, into a piloted weapon. The Re III version was the two-seat training variant, with a second cockpit where the operational machines carried their warhead; it served to train pilots. Power came from a pulsejet mounted above the fuselage. The project never reached combat use.
We recommend cleaning the short-run parts and removing the casting residue before gluing. Use a thin model cement on the plastic, and cyanoacrylate glue for the photo-etched parts and the vacuum-formed canopy. A small model comes into its own with a carefully finished surface and finely picked out detail; apply a primer before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
