This is a colored photo-etched accessory set in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard (Obrnice near Most). The set holds miniature warning flags and streamers with the Remove Before Flight legend, of the kind hung on real machines from covers, safety pins and sensors before takeoff. The STEEL version is made of spring steel, which holds its shape better and is tougher than a classic brass etching. It is not a model but a detail accessory for finishing a model or a scene.
Warning flags are part of the typical look of aircraft parked on the flight line. On a model or in a diorama they give the scene scale credibility and suggest a machine being prepared for flight. The set is general purpose and you will use it on a range of aircraft types in this scale.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, shape them if needed and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with two-part epoxy. The color printing is applied at the factory, so the flags usually need no further paint. Work with tweezers and protect your airways while sanding.
