1:72 Republic F-105D Thunderchief access ladder (1 pcs) adds a boarding ladder to the cockpit of a single-seat Thunderchief model. It is a small piece of airfield equipment, not a kit of the machine.

The resin set holds, according to its name, one ladder by which the crew climbs into the cockpit of the single-seat D version. It belongs among the elements that are fitted to an already built model and round out the picture of a machine on the ramp, not among the main kits.
A ladder hooked over the edge of the cockpit changes the reading of a display case at once. A static model gains a vertical line and a scale reference from which the viewer immediately judges the real size of the aircraft. The area under the cockpit can be taken further with a figure of a ground crewman or a helmet set down, and a small scene arises even without a full base.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was one of the largest single-engine combat aircraft ever built. It carried its bomb load in an internal bay, reached high speeds at low level and became the main strike machine of the operations over North Vietnam. Against the older machines, the single-seat D version received a better radar and navigation equipment; the two-seat F and G variants later took over the task of suppressing air defenses. Among the crews the nickname Thud took hold.
The accessory will be appreciated by modelers who build an aircraft as part of an airfield scene. Paints and glue are not included.
