Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks that belongs to the build of the model, not the model itself. The Weekend designation refers to the simply equipped edition of the Eduard kit for which the masks are cut. With them you cover the canopy glazing and other areas that are to stay clean after spraying.
The Avia S-199 was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter built on the airframe of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G, into which a Junkers Jumo bomber engine with a massive propeller was fitted for lack of the original powerplants. The combination of a heavy engine and a light airframe gave the aircraft a reputation as a difficult machine to fly and the Czech nickname Mezek, meaning mule. Compared with the older examples, the version with the bubble canopy has a better view to the rear and a different shape of framing, which shows directly in the masking.
Degrease the glazing before applying the masks and let it dry thoroughly. Press the edges of the mask down with a toothpick so that paint cannot creep underneath. It works well to spray a thin coat of the frame color first and only then the covering shades, so that any bleed blends in with the frame. Take the masks off soon after the paint has dried and pull them away with tweezers at a sharp angle. Wipe away any adhesive residue with a cotton swab moistened with spirit and finally polish the glazing with a soft cloth, so that the cockpit really is transparent once finished.
