A 3D-printed resin set, the Avia S-199 engine (PRINT), in 1:72 scale from Eduard — a detailed power plant. It is not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed 3D-printed resin set from the Brassin PRINT range for a model of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The set contains the complete engine with its cowling panels for displaying the power plant exposed. The Avia S-199 was a postwar version of the Bf 109 with a Junkers Jumo engine, nicknamed Mezek, meaning mule. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for experienced modelers.
Direct 3D printing makes it possible to capture the fine structure of the engine block, the auxiliary units and the panels with a sharpness that cast plastic parts cannot reach. A model with the engine exposed thus gains a realistic view into the nose. The set is designed for the plastic S-199 kit from Eduard — check the compatibility against the package.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them carefully from the print supports and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. It is worth painting the engine in sections and bringing it out with a wash so that the individual units stand out.
This is an accessory 3D-printed set, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
