A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for 1:72 models of the Swedish SAAB B17 aircraft. These are single-sided Express masks cut from quality masking film (the kabuki type), which cover the outer surfaces of the cockpit glazing and the landing gear wheels. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for easy masking; the parts are marked with numbers for quick and precise application.
The SAAB B17 was a Swedish single-engine dive bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the Second World War period. It was one of the first combat types of the Swedish manufacturer's own design; it served after the war as well, and some of the machines were exported. The glazed crew cockpit is a prominent feature for a model, and with a pre-cut mask it is easy to paint.
Degrease the glazing and apply the masks exactly along the engraved frames. Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not run under the edge. Take the masks off while the paint has only flashed off, with a clean pull of the tweezers. The wheel masks allow a sharp transition between the hub and the tire.
It is a masking accessory, not a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
