The Hauler 1:72 Sd.Kfz. 10 Demag D7 photo-etched set is an aftermarket accessory in thin metal for a model of the German light half-track tractor. The set is etched to measure for the MK72 kit.

A photo-etched metal fret from the Czech maker Hauler, with which a plastic model of the German light half-track tractor Sd.Kfz. 10 in 1:72 scale is refined. It is not a kit: the set completes the model named in the name of the product, and the model itself is not part of the package.
The Sd.Kfz. 10 derived from the design of the Demag company, designated type D7, and was among the lightest German half-track tractors of the Second World War. It served mainly to tow light guns and to carry their crews, and variants adapted for other tasks existed as well. The open body and the quantity of small external equipment make this type a rewarding target for photo-etched accessories: far more is visible on a model than on a closed vehicle.
On open vehicles it is the thickness of the edges that is most conspicuous. Sheet-metal covers, backrests, tool brackets and small mechanisms come out massively in injection-molded plastic, because a mold does not allow a thinner part. A metal part etched to tenths of a millimeter holds the scale, and seen from above, which is the most common view of a half-track tractor, the difference tells most strongly.
Leave the metal parts on the fret as long as possible and cut them off only just before fitting. Degreasing with alcohol before painting is obligatory with photo-etched parts, otherwise paint will not hold on smooth brass. Choose a thin primer and spray it in several weak coats, so that the etched lines for the bends do not clog. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied with a pin from a drop on a surface; anyone who needs longer to position a part will reach for the gel variant. Always run the bends along the line and preferably finish them by hand rather than forcing them in a bending tool.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
