1:72 SKOT-1 (Polish) from the Armour Models marque is a kit of the eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier in the Polish rendition.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier for modelers who build ground hardware in a small scale. Armour Models offers the same subject in the larger 1:35 as well, so a customer can choose according to how big a display case he has and whether he wants to set the vehicle into a larger whole. The 1:72 scale suits dioramas where further hardware or a building is to stand beside the carrier.
The OT-64 SKOT came about as a joint Czechoslovak-Polish project for a wheeled carrier and entered service from the 1960s. Compared with the tracked carriers of the time it offered a higher speed on the road, a longer range and a more comfortable ride; drive on all eight wheels at the same time left it decent going across terrain. The Polish army designated the vehicle with the SKOT abbreviation and operated a whole family of derived versions, from the basic transport ones to command and signals variants.
Build the wheels and their suspension to one plane, so that the vehicle does not stand crookedly on its base. Paint the wheel arches and the bottom of the hull still before the wheels are fitted. Break the basic green shade up with a lighter overspray from above, so that the large smooth surfaces of the hull do not come across flat, and finally add dust and mud on the tires.
The model is sold unassembled and without paint, and the chemicals and the tools have to be obtained in addition.
