Soviet SU-152 Self-propelled Heavy Howitzer - Early 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun of the Second World War in its early production form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale depicts the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun SU-152 in its early production form. It is a newer mold with fine engraved detail, separate running gear parts and a decal sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The SU-152 came about in 1943 by combining a massive 152 mm gun-howitzer with the chassis of the KV-1S heavy tank. It was originally intended for destroying fortifications, but thanks to its crushing firepower it proved itself against the heaviest German vehicles too, which earned it the nickname Zveroboy, meaning beast hunter. It was used among other places in the Battle of Kursk. The early batch differs from the later machines in details of the superstructure and equipment.
Finish the running gear and the tracks and blacken them before closing the hull. Use thin plastic cement for the plastic parts, spray the whole model with primer and apply the paint with an airbrush. The armor comes to life with a dark wash into the recesses, dust and mud pigments on the lower areas and fine scuffing of the edges with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
