This set from Aires is a resin cockpit detail set in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model in its own right but an accessory made to raise the fidelity of the cockpit markedly on a plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter. The set usually brings finely cast cockpit sidewalls, an instrument panel, a seat, a control column and pedals. Check the exact contents of the package against the particular release.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter of the Second World War, powered by the V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The first production version of the legendary family made its name above all in the Battle of Britain. Its armament consisted of eight 7.7 mm machine guns in the wings.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It pays to spray a primer first, then the interior shades, and finally to bring the details out with a dark wash and a dry brush.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
