The Quickboost engine cover for the Spitfire Mk. XIV in 1:72 scale. A resin detail accessory that replaces the plastic engine cover with a more accurate casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, intended to refine the plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIV fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the engine cover with a finely cast part that captures its characteristic shape faithfully.
The Spitfire Mk. XIV was one of the late versions of this legendary fighter and was powered by the potent V12 Griffon engine. That called for a longer and more massive nose with prominent bulges on the cover, so a faithful engine cover is a characteristic feature of this variant.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, separate it from the casting block and match it to the shape of the fuselage of the kit. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and fill and sand any seams.
This is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
