The Spitfire Mk.I exhaust (initial) with installation bracket is a resin (3D printed) set of early-pattern exhaust stubs in 1:72 scale for IBG Spitfire models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin (3D printed) detail accessory, not an airplane kit. The set contains the early (initial) pattern exhaust stubs for the Spitfire Mk.I together with an installation bracket that makes it easier to seat them accurately and symmetrically in the fuselage.
The shape and layout of the Spitfire exhaust stubs changed during production. The early pattern matches the first Mk.I batches, so replacing them with accurate resin parts helps you build a model that fits a particular period of service. The hollow, finely printed exhaust outlets look more realistic than a solid plastic substitute.
Wash any print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use the supplied bracket for a dry-fitted, symmetrical installation. The exhausts usually come into their own once painted in metallic and rust shades and accented with pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
