Resin castings of the cooling air scoops for the Soviet fighter-bomber Su-22M4 in 1:48 scale by the brand Quickboost. These are the small fuselage scoops through which air flows to cool the power unit. It is not an aircraft model but an accurate accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the solid or simplified parts from the kit with faithful castings with suggested openings, so that the scoops look realistic and deepen the detail of the surface.
The Su-22 (the export version of the machine with a variable-geometry wing) was a widespread Soviet fighter-bomber that flew with a number of countries. The characteristic small scoops on the fuselage are often cast flat and without openings in a model mold; replacing them with resin parts with suggested inlets brings the surface to life. The accessory is intended to refine an existing Su-22M4 model in the same scale.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Sand the original cast scoops off the model and replace them with the resin parts, glued with cyanoacrylate. Level the transitions with filler if necessary and repaint them in the color of the fuselage.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
