A plastic kit of the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire in 1:72 scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-seat fighter and one of the best-known machines of the Second World War. Its recognition marks are the elliptical wing and the slim nose with a liquid-cooled V12; the radiator under the wing and the narrow landing gear track belong to the typical look too. The Spitfire was built in many development stages, which differed in engine, wing shape, armament and canopy, so every configuration is built and painted a little differently.
This is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale; the finished model has a span of roughly fifteen centimeters, so it fits in an ordinary display case and beside other aircraft of the same scale. The part count, the contents of the box and the range of color schemes are given in the instructions and on the box. The designation Mk.IV was carried by several different machines in the history of the type, so check which configuration the kit depicts against the instructions and the contents of the box.
The small scale and the well-known subject make the kit a suitable piece for a collection and for builders who want a finished model in a reasonable time. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
