Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Quickboost brand of the maker Aires brings a faithfully cast propeller for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers. It also holds an assembly jig that helps set the propeller blades at the correct, symmetrical angle.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-engine fighter of the Second World War and one of the best-known aircraft of its day. The Mk.IX version was deployed as an answer to the new German fighters and became one of the most widespread variants. A propeller with broader blades helped transmit the power of the stronger Merlin engine.
Use the jig so that all the propeller blades have the same angle of attack; assemble them dry before gluing. First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, not with cement for plastic.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory to a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
