Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the tropicalized version of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov (KP). This release concentrates on the machines deployed in the Mediterranean theater. The package contains clear parts and decals for several color options.
The Spitfire Mk.Vc had the universal C wing, which allowed various combinations of armament. The tropicalized version (Trop) carried a bulky Vokes dust filter under the nose that protected the engine in the dusty conditions of the Mediterranean and North Africa, though it slightly reduced performance. The Mk.Vc version was very widespread in the Mediterranean.
Use a liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. Lay down a gloss coat before applying the decals so that no silvering occurs. The distinctive Vokes filter and the canopy are prominent features to look at; the Mediterranean camouflage scheme is typical of this boxing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
