Spitfire PR Type A/B/C/E Cockpit structure insert is a resin (3D-printed) insert for the structure of the pilot's compartment in 1:72 scale for models of the photo-reconnaissance Spitfire from the maker IBG.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin (3D-printed) detailing accessory, not an aircraft kit. The insert replaces or completes the inner structure of the pilot's compartment of the photo-reconnaissance versions of the Spitfire (PR Type A/B/C/E) and brings finely printed truss frames, the instrument bulkhead and side structures, which are clearly visible once the cockpit is glazed.
The photo-reconnaissance Spitfires of the PR types served in the Second World War for unarmed reconnaissance flights at high altitude. Their cockpit differed from the combat versions in its equipment, so a faithful insert helps to build an interior matching the reconnaissance variant in particular.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing it into the fuselage, try the fit dry; the fine structures come out well after painting and accentuating with a wash. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
