A set of resin antennas for the Soviet Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer frontline bomber in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but precisely cast detail parts that replace the coarser or missing antenna sensors from the base kit with a more faithful shape.
The Su-24 was a twin-engine attack aircraft with a variable-sweep wing, densely covered with antennas and sensors of its navigation, communication and electronic equipment. Small antenna shapes are hard to cast thinly enough in plastic and are easily damaged; the resin replacements have crisp edges and a more faithful profile, so the surface of the model looks better defined.
Resin parts call for more careful preparation: wash them in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Fit the small antennas at the very end of the build, so that they are not damaged while the model is handled, and paint them to match the overall camouflage scheme.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
