This is a resin detail accessory from Aires, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a faithfully cast interior of the carrier-based Su-33 fighter, NATO reporting name Flanker D. It contains the instrument panel, the side consoles, the ejection seat and a floor with fine relief, which once painted will substantially raise the fidelity of the cockpit.
The Su-33 is a carrier-based fighter developed from the Su-27 family for operation from an aircraft carrier. Its hallmarks are folding wings, additional canards and strengthened landing gear with an arrestor hook for landing aboard. It serves in air defense and escort roles.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash them to remove the mold release agent and bond them with super glue. Airbrush painting of the interior in the appropriate shades is advisable, with the instruments and the controls brought out with a brush and unified with a fine wash.
The set is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
