The Su-7 Fitter was a Soviet supersonic aircraft with a strongly swept wing and a single Lyulka turbojet. It originated as a fighter but found its use as the ground attack and bomber aircraft of the Su-7B line. It had a long takeoff run, a high landing speed and heavy fuel consumption, but it carried a heavy load and was rugged. It was used by the Soviet Air Force and by a number of export operators including Czechoslovakia. The landing gear was of the tricycle type with a nose leg, and on later versions it was modified for operation from unpaved surfaces.
