A 3D-printed exterior details set for a model of the earliest version of the legendary British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale from IBG. The parts are intended for the early K and L production series with their small differences and replace, on the surface of the model, the details that injection-molded plastic renders in a simplified way. Check the exact contents against the particular package. The plastic kit itself is not included in the set.
The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most famous fighters of the Second World War. The earliest Mk.I version, brought into service in the late 1930s, was marked by early features that changed on later machines, from the shape of the propeller and the canopy to details of the armament and the landing gear. It was these machines that formed the backbone of the British fighter defense in the opening phases of the war.
Carefully separate the parts from the printing supports and sand the spots smooth. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue; thin cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Degrease the parts before painting, apply the colors with an airbrush and the decals onto a gloss coat. Pick out the panel lines gently with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
