A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from Xtradecal. It offers markings for the Spitfire Mk.VIII variant in various period schemes and with various operators. The decals are in accurate register and will complete unit as well as factory markings.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was a developed model of the famous British fighter with an airframe adapted for the later, more powerful Merlin engines. It was deployed above all in the overseas theaters, among them the Mediterranean and the Far East, where British and friendly air arms used it. The differing schemes and markings of the individual users offer a varied palette of build options.
Work over a smooth gloss varnish. Cut the marking out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface of the model. For perfect settling into the engraved lines, use softening and setting solution and finally go over everything with a protective varnish in the degree of gloss you want.
This is a stand-alone set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
