T-34 Recovery 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet recovery vehicle on the T-34 chassis from UM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit captures the Soviet recovery (towing) vehicle based on the chassis of the T-34 tank in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model from UM, usually complemented by a small photo-etched fret and a decal sheet. Link-and-length track links and separate running gear parts tend to be part of the set.
Recovery vehicles on the T-34 basis were created by removing the turret and reworking the hull so that they could tow damaged or bogged-down tanks and carry spare parts. They made use of the proven T-34 chassis, which let them keep good cross-country mobility. Equipment like this was an essential part of the tank units.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks first, then finish the hull and the added equipment. Glue the plastic with liquid cement, treat the surface with a primer and spray with an airbrush. You will bring the Soviet dark green to life by lightening the surfaces; recovery vehicles can take more pronounced weathering, mud effects and wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
