A plastic kit of the T-34/76 (1942) in captured service from UM in 1:72 scale captures the Soviet medium tank taken and used by the German army.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank in its 1942 variant in the configuration of a captured vehicle used by the German army. The set holds plastic parts for the hull and the turret plus extra photo-etched parts.
The T-34/76 was a Soviet medium tank with sloped armor, wide tracks and a 76.2 mm gun. The 1942 variant carried the characteristic stamped or cast turret. The German army took a number of captured vehicles into its own service, where it marked them with crosses and other recognition features so as to tell them apart from the original owner. Captured T-34s appeared on the Eastern Front and on other fronts as well.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks first, and close up the hull only afterwards. Large recognition crosses and improvised markings are typical of the captured configuration and can give the model real character. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
