Ta 152H correct engine cowling in 1:72 scale is a resin replacement part from Quickboost for a model of this German high-altitude fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from Quickboost brings an exactly cast engine cowling of the correct shape for a model of the German Focke-Wulf Ta 152H high-altitude fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but a replacement part that will replace the inaccurately shaped cowling from the box with a casting with the accurate geometry of the nose.
The Ta 152H was the ultimate high-altitude fighter of the designer Kurt Tank, derived from the Fw 190D. It was powered by the Junkers Jumo 213E inverted V12 with a high-altitude supercharger; because of the heavier engine and the lengthened nose the machine has a characteristically long forward end. It is exactly the shape of the cowling and its transition into the fuselage that tends to be inaccurate in the plastic from the box. A faithful casting with the correct geometry lifts the look of the whole nose, which dominates the view.
First wash the resin part in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent because of mold release residue. Cut off the casting block carefully with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Check the fit with the fuselage before gluing and adjust the mating surfaces if needed. Bond the part with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fill and sand the joints.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
